Scottsdale has a great selection of courses available to play. However, Jan-April are considered peak time which means crazy expensive rates, so be prepared. If you are going in summer months, you can play these courses for a fraction of these prices.
Top Public Courses in/around Scottsdale
Quintero - about 50-60 min drive from Scottsdale, worth the trip, difficult course, great layout.
We-Ko-Pa - They have 36 holes, nice practice facility and good food.
Greyhawk - Course is in great condition and the bar/restaurant has a nice vibe
Silverado - always in great condition
Boulders - Has 36 holes, in the past both courses were rally good, but i believe conditions are not up to par on one of the courses now. You may want to check on this one before you go.
Troon - Also has 36 holes, nice layout but does get a ton of play so greens do have a lot of ball marks in them.
TPC Scottsdale - a bit overrated/over-priced as you are paying for the last 3 holes there.
Any others to add? Or updates to these courses?
